Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: July 15, 2026. Standard terms for all global wholesale purchases, custom products, and web interactions with Sagarmatha Felt Creation.
1. Scope & Acceptance
Welcome to Sagarmatha Felt Creation ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and purchase of our handcrafted felt products. By visiting our site or ordering products (either online or via direct B2B communication), you agree to be bound by these terms.
These terms represent the entire agreement between Sagarmatha Felt Creation, located in Kageshori Manohara, Kathmandu, Nepal, and you ("Client", "Buyer"). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or submit orders.
2. Wholesale & Customs Orders
Since we are a primary manufacturer and exporter, the majority of our orders are customized or bulk wholesale accounts.
Handmade Quality Warning: Every felt item is 100% individually crafted by hand by our women artisans in Kathmandu using organic New Zealand wool. Because of this natural, non-industrial process, minor variations in sizing (±5%), color shading (due to manual batch dyeing), and structural details are natural characteristics, not flaws.
- Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs): Wholesale orders are subject to MOQ thresholds specified per product category (e.g., Felt Wool Dryer Balls, Pet Caves, seasonal decor).
- Custom Design Approval: Prior to bulk production, we provide digital/physical sample approval. Once samples are approved by the Buyer, changes cannot be made without incurring extra charges.
- Lead Times: Production lead times are estimates and depend on total quantity and workshop capacity. We are not liable for production delays arising from wool supply chains or festival closures in Nepal.
3. Pricing & Payments
All price quotes are provided in US Dollars (USD) unless specified otherwise. Quotations remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
- Wholesale Pricing: Excludes international shipping fees, customs clearance, import tariffs, or local duties in the destination country.
- Deposit Requirements: All custom manufacturing and wholesale orders require a 50% advance deposit to initiate production. The remaining 50% balance must be settled upon presentation of the Bill of Lading (B/L) or prior to dispatch from Kathmandu.
- Payment Methods: We accept telegraphic bank transfers (T/T), international wire transfers, or letters of credit (L/C) for bulk transactions.
4. Shipping & Logistics
We export globally using trusted sea cargo and air freight forwarders. Our shipping terms are typically FOB (Free On Board) Kathmandu/Kolkata Port or CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight) depending on client request.
- Customs Clearance: Sagarmatha Felt handles export documentation in Nepal (including certificate of origin, GSP, and phytosanitary certificates where required). The Buyer is solely responsible for importing, customs clearances, tariffs, and storage fees at the destination port.
- Delivery Times: Transit times are subject to airline schedules, ocean shipping lines, and transit hub congestion. We are not liable for delayed arrivals.
- Force Majeure: Neither party is liable for failure to perform obligations due to acts of God, strikes, border closures, transit embargoes, or geopolitical restrictions.
5. Quality & Claim Policies
We maintain strict multi-tier quality checks. Each product batch is inspected before packing.
- Claim Window: Buyers must inspect shipment contents immediately upon arrival. All claims for defects, wrong items, or shortages must be reported in writing with photo evidence within 14 calendar days of receiving delivery.
- Resolution: Valid defects exceeding standard handmade tolerance will be resolved by offering replacement items in subsequent shipments, credit notes for future orders, or partial refunds as agreed upon.
- No Returns on Custom Goods: Custom-branded, private label, or customized shapes are non-returnable unless structural damage is proven prior to shipping.
6. Intellectual Property
All material on this website, including but not limited to texts, logos, brand guides, images, videos, and product designs, is the property of Sagarmatha Felt Creation and protected by international intellectual property laws.
Wholesale partners may use our catalog photos and descriptions for marketing our authentic felt items, provided they maintain original branding and credits.
7. Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.
Any disputes, claims, or controversies arising from transactions or communication under these terms shall be settled through mutual consultation. If a settlement cannot be reached, the dispute shall be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Kathmandu, Nepal.
